Cartoon Crossroads Columbus Announces Dates for 2025 Festival and Information for Exhibitors
COLUMBUS, Ohio–Cartoon Crossroads Columbus (CXC) will be back for its 11th annual festival, which will take place Sept. 18-21, 2025. CXC is an international destination for the celebration of comics and the cartoon arts, bringing people to Columbus for four days with events throughout the city.
Each year, CXC continues its original mission to make genuine connections among people who share a love for cartoon art, its creators, and a belief in its future. The festival is modeled on ones in Europe that use entire cities as a stage.
“We love welcoming people to Columbus to bask in the good vibes of great comics,” said Jeff Smith, the festival’s co-founder and artistic director and the cartoonist behind books such as Bone. “We’re excited as we prepare for what we think will be the biggest and best CXC to date.”
The format will remain largely the same, with Teach n Talks and major events on the Ohio State University campus Thursday and Friday, and a sales Expo and additional programming in downtown Columbus on Saturday and Sunday.
In the spring, CXC will announce headlining guests and other specifics of who will be at the show. Keep an eye on the organization’s website, www.cartooncrossroadscolumbus.org for updates.
Exhibitor applications: If you are a cartoonist or publisher who may want to have a table at this year’s expo, an application form will be available at www.cartooncrossroadscolumbus.org this Wednesday, January 22nd. For more information contact cxcfestival@gmail.com. Because tables are limited, CXC has a jury that selects exhibitors based on the quality and originality of the work, and also a desire to have a diverse variety of comics from creators in every stage of their career, making every type of comics.
